GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The Gators opened up 2023 SEC Quarterfinal action looking to further capitalize on the regular season win over the No. 4 Volunteers.
After winning the opening set, No. 5 Florida battled hard but was defeated in the following three. The Gators out-hit the Lady Vols with 62 kills to their 57, but recorded more errors to finish with a .179 hitting percentage compared to Tennessee’s .262 clip.

Setter Alexis Stucky tied her career-best with 56 assists while connecting Jordyn Byrd who led the team in kills with 21 on the night.
Alec Rothe also matched her career-high with seven blocks to lead the Gators defense at the net and Lily Hayes led the backcourt with 17 digs on the night.
