GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The heart of Alachua County is beating a little stronger, as Alachua County Firefighters stepped out of the firehouse and into the kitchen, for an amazing cause.
These firefighters, who put their lives on the line every day, came out Sunday night, to do what they do best, improve lives of those in the community.
The charity Chili Cook-Off, which began at 4pm and went until 8pm, was hosted inside the One Love Café in Gainesville.
The event was held to raise funds for the Embers of Hope Foundation — a pediatric burn foundation that gives young burn survivors a chance to reclaim joy, at a summer camp made just for them!
