NORFOLK, Va. — Pharrell Williams’ YELLOW nonprofit collected food and essentials this month ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
From noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, YELLOW’s food and essentials drive at 118 W. Bute St. in Norfolk collected non-perishable food goods as well as home and hygiene essentials like toothpaste, toilet paper, diapers, shampoo and laundry detergent.
“In these challenging economic times — combined with the lead up to the holiday season — we are reminded of the power of collaboration in the community to support those who are most in need. It’s our families, friends, neighbors, military, government workers — the list goes on. We all know someone who is impacted right now,” says Stacey Owsley, YELLOW’s Executive Director.
