A man is dead after an altercation between neighbors at a rooming house in New Bedford, Massachusetts, late Saturday night.

The Bristol County District Attorney's office announced Sunday that a death occurred overnight following the incident at 162 Sawyer Street.

New Bedford Police were first called to the home around 11:32 p.m. for an altercation and arrived to find 56-year-old Curtis Pina on the third-floor landing, bleeding heavily from an injury to his forehead, according to officials. Pina, a resident of the home, was taken to a local hospital where he died a few hours later.
