One person died and three were injured after a police chase ended with a vehicle losing control and crashing in San Bernardino on Saturday, Nov. 22.

Around 11:50 p.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop for a moving violation around Arden Avenue and the westbound 210 Freeway, but the vehicle didn’t stop, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said in a Sunday statement.

Deputies chased the vehicle, which at some points reached speeds higher than 130 mph, changed lanes recklessly and evaded law enforcement, the Sheriff’s Department said. The chase lasted about 48 miles, ending on the eastbound 210 Freeway offramp towards north State Street.
