PHOENIX — A young girl and her father are dead after a family of five was shot at in their car in South Phoenix, police said.
“I’ve got a whole part of me missing that ain’t ever going to be filled," Joesra Martin, the mother and grandmother of the victims, said. “I’m never going to see my son again. I ain’t ever going to see my grandbaby again.”
Envy Cardenas, 8, and her father, Quincy Polk, 30, were shot and killed in their car in a parking lot near 19th Avenue and Baseline Road.
“This made no sense that my son had to die this way. Like, that was just overboard and then to turn around and hurt my grandbaby also," Martin said.
Phoenix Police could not yet confirm if this is a road rage incident, but said the two drivers got into a physical fight in the parking lot on Saturday afternoo
