Police have shared a concerning update on the search for missing four year old Gus Lamont, who disappeared from his grandparents' home in South Australia.
They've announced that several remote mine shafts will now be searched as part of their ongoing efforts to locate the boy.
Gus was reportedly last seen outside by his grandmother around 5pm on Saturday, 27 September 2025, when she says she saw him playing on a mound of dirt.
He disappeared from his grandparents' home, a remote sheep station in the South Australian outback, sparking a large-scale search involving police, soldiers, SES crews, divers, and locals.
The latest search operation could last up to three days and will involve the use of specialised equipment to examine six exposed mine shafts located between 5.5k
