The daughter of motorsport legend Colin McRae was forced to retire from her racing debut after her Mini car crashed.
Hollie McRae, 26, was at the wheel in the Mini Challenge at the RAC Rally in Kielder Forest, Northumberland, when the car rolled on to its roof.
Her co-driver was her boyfriend Jon Armstrong, who is a European rally championship driver. Both racers escaped unhurt after retiring from the race on Saturday.
McRae, who was just eight when her father died in a helicopter crash in 2007, was feeling upbeat as she prepared for the event.
But she admitted being 'gutted' after losing control of the car when it spun out of control.
