POSEN, Ill. (WLS) -- Morgan Geyser, the young woman convicted in the Slender Man stabbing case in Wisconsin, was arrested Sunday night in the south suburbs.

The multi-state manhunt ended in south suburban Posen.

Geyser who in 2014 stabbed a friend 19 times to appease the fictional character "Slender Man," was located Sunday night after she allegedly cut off her Department of Corrections monitoring bracelet and left a Wisconsin group home where she had been a resident, authorities said.

Posen police said Geyser was found unharmed at 9:54 p.m. Sunday at a Thornton's Truck stop at 14840 S. Western Avenue in Posen.
