Georgia football offensive lineman Nyier Daniels drove more than 75 miles over the speed limit in downtown Commerce Sunday, causing police to pursue him in a high-speed chase after officers tried to stop his mother for running a stop sign.
Daniels and his mother, Brandi Canada Green, each remained in the Jackson County Jail Monday morning after their arrests Sunday.
Daniels is charged with three felonies--fleeing from a police officer and cruelty to a child in the second degree—and 10 misdemeanors including reckless driving, speeding, failure to maintain lane, driving on wrong side of road and passing in a no passing zone.
