TOLEDO, Ohio — Gas prices in the Toledo area are easing up and heading for a downfall.

Average gasoline prices rose more than 33 cents in the last week, according to a GasBuddy analysis.

A gallon of gasoline, on average, costs $2.85. This number is 15 cents lower than a month ago and almost 8 cents higher than a year ago.

GasBuddy said in a press release that gas prices ranged between $2.49 on the low end to $3.09 on the high end, a difference of 60 cents per gallon.

The national average remains unchanged, averaging $3.03 per gallon. It is down two cents from a month ago and up two and a half cents from a year ago.
