GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — If you're hitting the road Thanksgiving weekend, you may want to fill up sooner rather than later. AAA is reporting higher prices at the pump as the holiday nears.

On average, gas prices are up 9 cents from last week to $3.11 per gallon for regular unleaded gas. This average is only one cent higher than this time last month.

Drivers should expect to pay about $46 for a full 15-gallon tank of gas.

"Many drivers across Michigan are seeing higher prices at the pump heading into Thanksgiving," said AAA spokesperson Adrienne Woodland.

This comes as AAA is predicting 2.3 million Michiganders will drive for their Thanksgiving holiday.

Some of the cities with the most expensive gas prices are Lansing ($3.20), Jackson ($3.19) and Ann Arbor ($3.18). The lowest average
