A motorcycle took deputies on a chase through three counties.
On Nov. 16, Coweta County deputies observed Quarvonta Zantri Smith, 33, drive by near the 40-mile marker on Interstate 85 without a tag on the rear of the motorcycle.
According to the incident report, Smith accelerated as deputies tried to catch up.
Smith reportedly weaved in between cars and changed lanes frequently without using a turn signal.
At the 36-mile marker, deputies caught up to Smith in the far right lane. The motorcyclist exited toward Grantville. At the bottom of the ramp, he reportedly crossed the grass median.
The deputy in pursuit reportedly drove across the median to cut Smith off. According to the report, Smith looked at the deputy and gave a hand signal that suggested he was pulling over, but he accelera
