As nonprofits across the Texas Panhandle face higher demand and fewer traditional funding sources, The Panhandle Gives campaign is underway again — launching a nine-day regional effort to support organizations in all 26 counties.

The campaign — now in its ninth year — will run Nov. 24 through Dec. 2, with donations accepted at ThePanhandleGives.org and at participating partner banks. More than 260 nonprofits are enrolled, the highest number yet, according to the Amarillo Area Foundation.

This year’s kickoff at the foundation’s offices on South Polk Street marked the first campaign for President and CEO Keralee Clay since formally taking the position. She previously served as interim CEO and has helped organize every Panhandle Gives effor
