LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A beloved national cemetery in Louisville is sounding the alarm that it may not have enough wreaths for every veteran's headstone ahead of the holidays.

With the deadline the sponsor a wreath only one week away, more than 2,500 more wreaths are needed to ensure all veterans' graves at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery are honored, a news release said.

So far, approximately 8,900 wreaths have been purchased to be placed on veterans' graves.

Monday, Dec. 1 is the final day wreaths can be purchased to ensure they are created, shipped and placed on graves during a Dec. 14th ceremony. Since there are some 11,400 graves at Zachary Taylor, more donations are needed.
