Downtown Vernal revitalization continues to gain attention. The revitalization of the block on south Highway 40 between Vernal Avenue and 100 East is a ‘Project of the Year’ Finalist in the ENR Mountain States Best Projects of 2025. ENR stands for Engineering News-Record that covers projects and rankings for the engineering and construction industries in the mountain states. Friday’s announcement noted that the ‘Zion’s Block Improvements’ enhanced public infrastructure in this part of downtown Vernal, including modernizing existing utility services, enhancing the visual appeal and functionality of key parking areas, and improving safety and visibility.
