Diners were taken ill following a roast dinner at The Cwrt Henllys bar and restaurant in Cwmbran - it has now been given a zero food hygiene rating
A Welsh pub has been slapped with a zero hygiene rating after diners fell "violently ill" following a Sunday carvery.
At least 19 customers were confirmed to have suffered from food poisoning from the roast dinner, including a pregnant woman. The Cwrt Henllys bar and restaurant in Cwmbran was given the low rating after diners were poisoned with an organism called clostridium perfringens.
The pregnant woman said she woke up in the middle of the night with stomach cramps so severe she thought she was miscarrying . One family said that eight people out of their party of 13 fell ill - and that even their dog got sick after eating leftovers.
