MADISON, Wis. -- Another upset win for Wisconsin at Camp Randall Stadium resulted in another Badger being honored with a weekly award on Monday.

Darryl Peterson III, an outside linebacker, was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week.

Peterson tallied three sacks and a forced fumble during the Badgers' upset win over No. 21 Illinois. He is the first Big Ten Player this season to have three sacks and a forced fumble in the same game. He also recorded six tackles and two pass deflections.

Peterson's three sacks were the most by a Badger in a single game since Nick Herbig tallied three against Iowa in 2021.

This is the second time in three weeks that a Badger has won Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week. Cooper Catalano took home the award after the Badgers upset No. 23 Washington.
