LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A man was arrested on felony charges after police said he headbutted his 70-year-old father during an argument.

Laredo police officers responded to a welfare concern call at about 11:55 a.m. on November 14 in the 200 block of Alicante Dr. Officers found a 70-year-old man holding a bloody napkin in his right hand.

The man told police his son attacked him during an argument, and Investigation revealed the son headbutted the victim, police said.

Laredo police identified the son as 41-year-old Eddie Vasquez. The victim told officers he struck Vasquez in the right arm with a wooden stick in self-defense.

Vasquez was arrested on a charge of injury to an elderly person, a third-degree felony.
