TOLLESON, AZ (AZFamily) — New details are shedding light on what led up to a family dispute in Tolleson on Saturday morning.
Police said a family was celebrating a birthday at a restaurant near 91st Avenue and Van Buren Street when an argument broke out.
According to court documents, someone at the party showed the suspect, 42-year-old Luis Garcia, a video of who he believed was his brother and his wife engaging in “some kind of relationship.”
The victim’s wife allegedly told police that’s when a fight broke out between them. She said alcohol may also have been a contributing factor in the argument. Although the witness said she didn’t see the fight, when she walked outside, she saw the victim had been shot in the stomach.
