TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - A standoff in an eastside Tucson neighborhood ended in an officer-involved shooting late Sunday, leaving one man dead.

Tucson Police say the incident began around 8 p.m. when a juvenile called 9-1-1 reporting that a family member threatened him with a gun. Officers quickly responded to a home near Broadway and Camino Seco, safely removing the juvenile and two other children from the residence.

Police say the man inside refused to come out, prompting SWAT and the Hostage Negotiations Unit to respond. The situation interrupted a quiet evening for neighbors, including Syvell Roe and his wife.
