COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - The Bryan (3-1) boys basketball team beat College Station (0-6) 48-44 on Monday at Cougar Gym.

Why did Bryan win? The Vikings took advantage of turnovers and free throws down the stretch. With the game tied 44-44 with under one minute to play, LB Taylor was fouled after an offensive rebound and made two clutch free throws to put the Vikings up by two.

College Station had an opportunity to either tie the game or take the lead, but DJ Nicks sealed the win with a steal and layup in the closing seconds.

Standout performance: College Station’s James Moore led all scorers with 17 points. 12 of those points came in the second half.

For Bryan, Jayden Brooks led the way with 12 points, Harold (LB) Taylor added 11 points and 4 rebounds, and CJ Ellis chipped in 1
