The Waverly-Shell Rock girls basketball team started their season with an incredible 60-poing blowout win at Fort Dodge. The final score read 72-12 in favor of the Go-Hawks.

After an incredible 2024-2025 season that saw them finish with a 19-3 record, the Go-Hawks now enter the 2025-2026 season ranked No. 9 by the IGHSAU in the preseason. In their season opener against Fort Dodge, the Go-Hawks looked every bit like their preseason ranking would suggest.

There was little the Dodgers could do to stop the Go-Hawks right from the opening tip. At the end of the first quarter, the Go-Hawks had already built a 21-5 lead.
