JACKSON COUNTY, N.C. —
Jackson County Public Schools, in western North Carolina, said classes are canceled on Tuesday due to a cybersecurity issue.
According to the district, the issue affected their network over the weekend.
Officials said there was no evidence that student or staff data was accessed, but to ensure security the district needed to shut down the entire network.
The district said Tuesday would be an optional workday for staff.
