A County Durham man threatened to slit his partner's throat and watch her "bleed out" during a controlling relationship. Adam Allison left his then-partner so terrified she was unable to eat or sleep and would call her degrading and insulting names.
Allison threatened to kill her and to throw acid in her face and would use her bank card during their relationship. When their relationship did end, Allison bombarded her with unwanted calls and emails, and called her around 1,400 times within the space of a week.
Allison, of Rutland Terrace, Haswell, County Durham , appeared at Durham Crown Court via link from HMP Durham to be sentenced for controlling or coercive behaviour between December 17, last year, and August 31, this year. The 29-yea
