Wideopen Football Club has been granted its first ever alcohol licence, despite objections. The amended permit allows for drinks to be served between 12pm-7.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
The community club, which is approaching its 40th birthday, has now been allowed by North Tyneside councillors to serve alcohol. The drinks available would be cans, stored in the club’s kitchen area in a locked fridge, as a service primarily to its senior teams.
