FAYETTEVILLE -- A conditional use permit request was tabled by the Planning Commission on Monday following concerns from neighborhood residents.
Bates and Associates requested a conditional use permit Monday for a cluster housing development at 2096 N. Box Ave.
Bates cited plans to develop 19 detached, single-family homes within two clusters on the 2.4 acres.
Four members of the public spoke in opposition to the development, stating they felt it was incompatible with their neighborhood and sharing concerns about the size of Box Avenue, a narrow, dead-end street, and the traffic development would add. Those in opposition also expressed doubts about having sufficient utilities to support the additional housing.
