OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Thirteen alleged Crips gang members have been arrested in the Omaha area in connection with multiple crimes in both Omaha and Lincoln, authorities said.
Omaha police said the suspects are responsible for murders, gun crimes, trafficking of weapons and other offenses. Investigators have been looking into this gang since March of last year.
June shooting near 25th and Taylor
Prosecutors alleged in court Friday that these gang members were responsible for a shooting that happened in June near 25th and Taylor streets. The incident left one man in critical condition.
Omaha police believe the arrests will largely lower the crime rate around the metro.
