The co-screenwriter of the movie Wicked: For Good is opening up about the meaning behind that final shot of Ariana Grande ‘s Glinda with the Grimmerie at the end of the movie.

At the end of Wicked: For Good , Glinda believes that Elphaba has died and she has been entrusted with the Grimmerie, the magic book of spells. Even though she doesn’t know how to read it, Elphaba gives Glinda the book and encourages her to learn.
In the final moments of the movie, Glinda is looking at the book and it magically opens for her, seemingly signaling that she either has earned the gift of magic or Elphaba has given it to her.
