BATAVIA — An area in the old home of the Soccio & Della Penna businesses on Ellicott Street, part of the Ellicott Station project, has to be made safe from entry, the city says.

The situation is a safety concern that must be secured, the city says, with people being able to get into the building from the outside through the openings where windows were. An Ellicott Station, LLC attorney said in City Court Monday that this will be taken care of within the next couple of weeks.
