A boy has been charged with the murder of Birmingham teenager Yassin Alama.

Yassin Alama, 19, was fatally stabbed at the junction of Stamford Road and Hutton Road in Handsworth on Sunday, November 16.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with Mr Alama's death from a property in Birmingham two days ago.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons due to his age, has since been charged with murdering Mr Alama.

He was also charged with possession of a bladed article.

He will appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court later today.
