1Armed suspects steal vehicle at gunpoint in Laurel carjacking after attempted theft

LAUREL, MD – Police are investigating a violent carjacking that occurred early Sunday morning in Laurel after three suspects confronted a man at gunpoint, stole his belongings, and fled the scene in his vehicle.

According to the Anne Arundel County Police, the incident unfolded around 3:35 a.m. on November 23 in the area of Russett Green East and Hayshire Street. The victim was walking to his vehicle when he saw suspects in the act of breaking into another car. He yelled at them, prompting one of the suspects to drive toward him and point a handgun.
