A Fife schoolboy tragically died after falling ill on a bus on Monday afternoon. The heartbreaking incident occurred as the Beath High School pupil was en route to Fife College for a course.
The 15 year old lad became unwell near Halbeath roundabout in Dunfermline around 1:45pm. Despite an ambulance being called, the student was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland are currently treating the death as 'unexplained' and their investigations continue. In a letter sent out to parents, the school described how the "situation deteriorated rapidly".
The school community plans to unite to "pay tribute and remember the young person".
