Several horses were killed in a barn fire in Plainville, Massachusetts, early Tuesday morning.

Plainville firefighters responded to a report of a fire at Janbark Farm on Warren Street around 4:30 a.m., according to WJAR . The farm is a full service Morgan horse facility.

Fire officials said several horses died in the fire, but 15 other horses were saved.

The blaze reportedly started in a show arena location beore spreading to the attached barn. Investigators said there were no fire alarms in the show arena, which was destroyed in the blaze.
