Police have identified the driver of a school bus that struck and killed a 12-year-old student in Maine last week and say their investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Rockland Police Chief Timothy Carroll confirmed to News Center Maine that 65-year-old Jeffrey Colburn was driving the bus at the time of the crash. Colburn had previously pleaded guilty to a driving under the influence charge back in 2015 and was fined $500 and had his license suspended for 150 days.

Multiple parents also told News Center Maine that they have had issues with Colburn going back years, but police and the school district have not confirmed those claims.
