Board Member Backlash

Red Cloud School Board President Jeff Armstrong asked member Hannah Rupprecht for her resignation in a closed session, citing that the school’s superintendent said he wouldn’t leave and ask for a buyout if she resigned.

That caused Rupprecht to vent on Snapchat using offensive language that leaked to other board members. Armstrong then asked for Rupprecht’s public resignation because of misconduct during their October meeting, calling her actions “unbecoming of a public official.” Rupprecht confirmed she sent the Snapchats and said she was “upset and frustrated in those snapshots,” adding they were not meant to be seen publicly.
