A sex offender who raped his victim while she was sleeping has been convicted by jurors.

Daniel Smith has been found guilty of a number of sex offences.

The 45-year-old was convicted of rape, sexual assault and breaching his sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) following a trial at Swindon Crown Court.

The trial heard how Smith raped the victim inside a property in Wiltshire, while she was sleeping.

The following month, he got into her bed 'against her consent' and groped her.
