CHICAGO (WMTV) - The woman convicted in the 2014 Slender Man stabbing will have an extradition hearing Tuesday after she escaped her Madison group home and was found in the southern suburbs of Chicago.
Morgan Geyser is expected to have the hearing Tuesday morning in Cook County.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services explained the extradition process in a statement Monday, saying someone found across state lines who is apprehended will need to be extradited in order to return to the state. If the individual does not waive extradition, then the process could take several months.
The Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office said the Governor’s Office is in contact with authorities on handling the case.
