Bill Belichick might have a way back into the NFL soon.
A new report says at least two teams want to speak with him about their open head-coach jobs, and a third team might also join in. The update comes from NFL insider Josina Anderson, who has closely followed his situation.
The New York Giants and Jets are not involved. The Giants fired Brian Daboll, and many expected them to call Belichick, but he made it clear he wasn’t interested. The Giants’ ownership didn’t push for him either. That leaves room for other teams that are looking for strong leadership.
Anderson reported, “I’m told ‘at least two NFL teams’ are still* expected to have interest in talking to Bill Belichick, behind-the-scenes* at the very least, about head coach jobs this Carousel season, per a league source”.
