Police have released the identities of the father and son killed in a crash in Bristol on Saturday.

The crash happened on Willis Street just before 11 a.m.

Ismael Duran, 35, of Waterbury, was driving a Honda Civic when the car went off the road and crashed into a tree, according to police.

Emergency crews had to extricate Duran and his 12-year-old son from the car. The 12-year-old was sitting in the front passenger seat, police said.

Duran's 10-year-old son was sitting in the back seat. He did not need to be extricated.

Duran and his 12-year-old son, Ismael Pacheco, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The 10-year-old was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
