CLEVELAND — A Weather Impact Alert has been issued for Thanksgiving and Friday. Cold air and gusty winds will settle in to kick up lake effect snow that will impact areas of the snowbelt through this time period. This will likely cause holiday travel issues for some locations.

A Winter Storm Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula counties. These will be shifted to warnings/advisories and possibly expanded as we get closer to Thanksgiving. Areas of the primary snowbelt will get the brunt of the snow, especially for Thanksgiving.
