OHIO, USA — The Ohio Turnpike issued a travel ban for high-profile vehicles due to anticipated winds. The ban may impact Thanksgiving travel plans due to its timing.
In a press release, the Turnpike said it has issued the ban ahead of anticipated high winds with rain and snow across northern Ohio. The ban will begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26 and last until Thursday, Nov. 27 at 11:59 p.m. It applies to the entire length of the Ohio Turnpike.
The restriction applies only to high-profile vehicles, which are defined as having a height exceeding 7 feet, 6 inches. Additionally, the following factors also are banned from traveling on the Ohio Turnpike until the restriction is lifted:
