Walmart Inc. has partnered with two sustainable farming companies -- Kellanova and Indigo Ag -- to help Arkansas rice farmers adopt regenerative practices and improve water stewardship.
Through the Source by Indigo program, that collaboration provides farmers with resources, data and technical support to build more resilient and profitable rice farming operations across the state.
The co-investment builds on four years of partnership between Walmart and Indigo Ag that has helped farmers supplying Walmart's Great Value brand cut greenhouse gas emissions by more than 37,000 metric tons, conserve more than 11 billion gallons of water, and save farmers more than $900,000.
