AKRON, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Transportation’s District 4 has kicked off its annual Paint-the-Plow contest.
Students at more than two dozen local schools in Ashtabula, Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Summit and Trumbull counties are participating in the contest. Student teams at each of the schools collaborated to design and paint a snowplow blade. Plow design themes include road safety, school spirit, Ohio pride and seasonal imagery.
Community members are encouraged to vote on their favorite plow blade design on the ODOT District 4 Facebook page . Voting is open through Friday, Dec. 5, at 3 p.m. Each Facebook like counts as one vote, and the design with the most votes will win.
