It's been a tough first season for Bill Belichick in Chapel Hill.
The six-time Super Bowl-winning NFL head coach was hired at North Carolina to quite a bit of fanfare this past offseason, but his tenure has so far been marred by outside storylines and subpar play on the field. However, despite a 4-7 start to Belichick's college football career, he could apparently still draw some interest in the NFL ranks.
According to NFL insider Josina Anderson, Belichick will have some potential suitors in the pros this offseason, with at least two teams expected to have interest in talking to him.
"A third team could also enter the mix," with desires to talk, particularly if one specific personnel change is made under ownership, the source added," Anderson wrote in a tweet.
Belichick is considered one of the greatest NFL coaches of all time, but his tenure with the New England Patriots didn't end on the highest of notes, and his time at UNC has not been particularly noteworthy, to say the least.
Still, his resume speaks for itself, and it seems Belichick could potentially have the option to press the eject button after one season and return to the NFL.
