As Thanksgiving draws near and many are taking to the skies and roads before the holiday, the region is facing an onslaught of wintery weather conditions moving in starting late Tuesday night.
A Winter Weather Advisory will be going into effect for almost all of our Southern Minnesota counties starting at midnight Tuesday until 9 AM Wednesday. During this time, 1-4" of snow are expected alongside northwestern winds gusting up to 50 MPH. This combination could make things hazardous on roadways through Wednesday morning.
A Winter Storm Warning will go into effect for Steele County and further north (including the Twin Cities) starting at 9 PM Tuesday until 9 AM Wednesday. Accumulations of 2-4" of snow is expected with 4-7" possible further north and into western Wisconsin. Strong winds wil
