TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Roughly 25,000 passengers are expected to move through Tallahassee International Airport during the Thanksgiving travel period from November 21 through December 1.

“Give yourself plenty of time when traveling, that will make for a much better travel experience overall, said David Pollard, director of Tallahassee International Airport.

Pollard said it’s also important for travelers to check flight statuses.

Fog has affected visibility in recent days, impacting six flights. Between Monday and Tuesday, three flights were diverted and three others did not depart on schedule for Tallahassee.

“If they are en route and weather conditions, visibility in this case, start to go down, that’s when they are making those decisions to possibly divert,” Pollard said.
