AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Gap Ministries hosted a Thanksgiving event for the community Tuesday, part of early celebrations across the CSRA aimed at making sure no one goes hungry during the holiday.

Before stuffing their stomachs with tasty food, many will stuff and pack the roads this year, traveling to their Thanksgiving destinations.

People were invited to fill their plates with traditional holiday favorites, including ham, stuffing, sweet potatoes and sweet treats.
