LOWVILLE, New York (WWNY) - A Lewis County woman has been sentenced for raping a boy under the age of 17.
Nicole Lyndaker smiled at someone in the courtroom as she walked to the podium. But that smile quickly faded as Judge Daniel King read her sentence.
She’ll be spending the next 3 years in a state prison, followed by 7 years of supervised release. She’ll also have to register as a sex offender, and an order of protection was issued for her victim.
In October, Lyndaker admitted to raping an underage boy along with criminal contempt as part of a plea deal.
Had the case gone to trial, Lyndaker could have ended up with a harsher sentence, but Lewis County District Attorney Jeffery Tompkins is satisfied with the outcome.
