Andrew McCreedy, jailed for heroin dealing
A heroin dealer who is a "walking, talking example of the perils of drug misuse" has been jailed for peddling the narcotic which he believes will kill him. Police executed a search warrant at Andrew McCreedy's home at Archer Street, Wallsend , on March 31 2023.
Newcastle Crown Court heard officers seized 22.4g of heroin, worth up to £1,120 and McCreedy said it was all his and nothing to do with his girlfriend, who was present. An examination of his phone showed he had sent a number of bulk messages to contacts advertising his availability to supply heroin.
The court heard McCreedy, who was taking £200 of heroin a week, has a previous conviction for conspiracy to supply heroin from 2016, for which he was given a suspended sentence and a drug
